This article is 4 years old, but it's pretty interesting. A group of affluent, black parents convinced a school district to fund a study by a UC Berkley anthropologist to find out why their kids weren't doing as well as white kids in school. His conclusion put most of the blame on the parents and their attitude towards education. You can guess how well that went over.
